September at New Ferry Butterfly Park

September 1st was a lovely sunny day and a visit to the Butterfly Park by Hilary and Richard Ash resulted in these photographs.

Red admirals were all over the white buddleia – at least 11.

Some hazel nuts, that just might manage to ripen as they are on the end of a very slender twig, so hopefully the grey squirrels won't be able to get to them.
