Discover Red Rocks at Tesco

Happy New Year!

Cheshire Wildlife Trust submitted a funding bid to Tesco Bags of Help for our Discover Red Rocks project and we have been selected to go forward to the Wirral in-store vote!

Three local community projects will be voted on in Tesco stores each month and the project that receives the most votes from all stores in their region will receive a grant of up to £5,000. The second placed project receives up to £2,000 and third placed up to £1,000. You can vote for Discover Red Rocks at Wirral Tesco stores between 2nd and 28th January 2017.

If we are successful in getting the full £5,000 the Discover Red Rocks project will:

•        Improve the condition of the nature reserve for people and wildlife through beach cleans and volunteer days on the reserve.
•        Invite local schools to visit the reserve for wildbeach sessions, where the children will learn about the coast and the wildlife found there through outdoor education, team building and bushcraft activities, and environmental games.
•        Involve the wider community in local marine conservation issues by leading guided nature walks around the reserve and holding public events.

The list of stores taking part in the voting on our project is:

Eastham Rake Express, CH62 6BX
Neston Express, CH64 9UB
Heswall, CH60 7SL
Pensby Express, CH61 9ND

Moreton Hoylake Road Express, CH46 6DG
Moreton Cross Express, CH46 8TH

Bidston Moss Extra, CH43 7AA

To vote, you will need to make a purchase within store of any value. You will receive one token per transaction and it's not necessary to purchase a carrier bag in order to receive a token.

Please spread the word and vote for our project!
