Carl Clee, Honorary Curator of Bees, Wasps and Ants at World Museum, Liverpool will be sharing his expertise at Chester SciBar's next meeting. It takes place from 7.30 p.m. tomorrow at the Lock Keeper, Frodham Street, Chester.

Learn about the fungi in Dibbinsdale Local Nature Reserve. Join members of The British Mycological Society for a close look at the amazing fungi living in Brotherton Park & Dibbinsdale.

This is not a foraging walk and we will not be looking at edible fungus.

Stout footwear and waterproofs recommended, and volunteers should bring a packed lunch if staying for the whole session, which ends between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Port Sunlight River Park

Recently opened Port Sunlight River Park is well worth a trip.

Last week we visited for the first time and saw flocks of goldfinches, black tailed godwits and walked through a swarm of dragonflies. Add to that fantastic views along the Mersey and over to Liverpool, plus sightings of waders on the mud flats at New Ferry, and you have a very memorable and enjoyable outing.
